Great hotel with great wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a cozy bar. The staff helped me find transport on my first stay, and I still appreciate their friendliness. I'm coming back for Christmas.

Worth it, value for money. Conveniently located to a public restaurant for breakfast, truly enjoyed this place. 10 minutes walk from Saint Lawrence's Church. Newly renovated and a decent size room, comfy bed. Climate control, coffee-making facilities, and a chair in the room...

Close o the facility I needed to use; clean; friendly staff
The Internet access is poor for such a major chain. Most small hotels now have free wireless in room. Holiday Inn charges an exorbitant amount for in-room wireless, including the fact that the clock keeps ticking, even if you're not using. Hi needs to get up to speed with the ttimes

Efficient and highly courteous staff, they made my day!!
Everything is lovely, particularly staff and drinks. So many choices for breakfast: cereal and fruit. This hotel has prime location nowhere near a city center. There is Fresha Cafe nearby for a cup of coffee.

Large free car park, proximity to park and ride service, quick maintenance response
Air conditioning not functioning well during warmer nights!!! More noise-proofing needed to reduce disturbances from other guests!!! It would help to have clearer signage for breakfast to avoid confusion!!!

The standard twin room was super clean and comfy. I loved having a clean kettle to. The location was very convenient, just a £14 taxi ride from the airport. The staff were polite and super helpful.

The location is very convenient. The bedrooms are well designed and very clean. The signage to the hotel is good and the car park is spacious. Following a fire alarm, the reaction of the staff to this situation was very good and if the fire had been genuine, everyone would have been safe.
We arrived quite late and were advised that the only food available was sandwiches - if there was any bread left in the kitchen - or take aways. There is in fact a restaurant next door that could have provided us with a full meal if we had gone there straightaway. We were also informed that there was a large party booked for breakfast at 8am the following morning, but we werent expecting the extremely untidy breakfast area. We have visited many hotels with buffets but there seemed to be no positive effort to clear tables and the buffet areas - including egg that had been spilt on the floor. We appreciate that the hotel was very full but presumably this wasnt unexpected and there didnt appear to be a duty manager supervising the staff. We were disappointed by this experience, and on balance would not probably recommend a Holiday Inn Express to friends and family for any longer than an overnight stop.

The staff were great - friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, and we had no problem sleeping.
The carpark entrance/exit wasn't very clearly signed. Breakfast was the standard buffet fare, but with quite limited choice - more choice would have been better (but that's being pretty picky, if I'm honest!).
